I launched Brown Skin Women site and the this Brown Skin Women blog as a dedication to my love for my natural hair, skin tone and for attaining a successful career despite child-hood challenges related to identity crisis and living in poverty.
As an entrepreneur (Fashion Designer turned Special Events Producer), and autism activist (Founded Hope 4 Autism, Inc.), I’ve learned the significance in self branding and embracing my natural being. The two goes hand in hand. This self discovery inspired me to build a platform that celebrates the beauty in self-love. To empower and inspire women and youth of color to embrace the same.
I could be just a happy business owner, but I’m not. I’m a happy business owner who truly loves her natural hair and dark brown skin tone. My natural self that God decided was best for me. It doesn’t get any better than this, folks! Love yourself :).
Until next time…
